Alice Rose Carpenter, 81, residing in South Bend, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018. She was born to the late Frederick Loren and Othello Pauline (Duckworth) Carpenter on June 23 1937 in Mishawaka, IN. Alice is survived by many close cousins.

Alice retired after 40 years from Ameritech, starting out in South Bend before moving to Shelbyville, IN to work in the Indianapolis, IN location. Upon retiring, Alice returned home to South Bend. Alice loved shopping, Christmas and was an avid Notre Dame and Cubs fan.

She also faithfully attended Osceola United Methodist Church in Osceola, IN. Funeral services for Alice will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend, IN. Rev.

Leroy Wise will officiate. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola IN. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Alice may be made to American Heart Association, Attn: Memorial Tribute Processing Center, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago IL 60674 or Osceola United Methodist Church, 431 N.
