Robert D. Gollehon, 63, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of Friday, November 16, 2018, surrounded by his family. Robert was born on July 21, 1955 in Mansfield, OH to Richard Sr. and Patricia Ann (Militello) Bailey. Robert was employed as a brickmaker for Belden Brick and had recently moved to the area from Elkhart.

He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin and friend. He was especially inseparable from his sister, Ida. Wherever she went, Robert was never far behind.

Ida was Robert’s primary caregiver for many years and his closest companion. Robert is survived by his loving daughter, Robin Gollehon of New Philidelphia, OH; granddaughter Alexis Strimbu; great-grandson Mason Strimbu; six sisters: Gloria Hankins of Mansfield, OH, Linda Sue Oberle of Bellville, OH, Ida Fowler of South Bend, IN, Mary Powers of Mansfield, OH, Martha Tinkham of Mansfield, OH and Gail Prosser of Albuquerque, NM; twin brother Richard Gollehon, Jr. of Mansfield, OH; brother Jimmy Gollehon of Mansfield, OH; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends. Per Robert’s wishes, no services will be held.
