Allan B. “Pete” Flowers, age 82, cherished husband of 57 years to Sarah H. Flowers, passed away at the Medical Center surrounded by his loving family on November 28, 2018. He was born on February 22, 1936 in Schochoh, Kentucky to Mollie Halcomb Flowers and Boyd Bagby Flowers. Pete grew up in Adairville; he and Sarah were married in 1961 and have resided in Russellville since his retirement from the USAF in 1977.

Pete attended Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas while being stationed at Forbes AFB, Kansas. During his 22 years of service, he spent two tours of duty in Thailand and Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked in electronics, farmed and pursued his passion of woodworking.

Perfectionist by nature, Pete spent many years constructing their family home. He was an active member of Adairville Church of Christ where he served as deacon for several years. In addition to his wife, Pete is survived by an adoring daughter, Antonia (Toni) Flowers Morgan and her husband, David G. Morgan of Huntsville, Alabama.

He is also survived by one namesake grandson, Allan D. Morgan and his wife, Ally of Louisville, Kentucky, a brother, William Edward Flowers and wife, Irma of Bethpage, Tennessee and one sister, Sug Childers and husband, Ray of Ooltewah, Tennessee. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Shemwell, Mollie M. Flowers and Jonelle Akers.

Funeral Services for Allan B. “Pete” Flowers will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 in Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Hugh Gannon, Allan Morgan and Gary Hall officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and lasting until the time of the services. Pallbearers are Allan Morgan, Eddie Flowers, Ed Flowers, Bill Pearson, Ben Harris and Russell Jones.

Honorary Pallbearers are Men of the Adairville Church of Christ; David G. Morgan, Will Ed Flowers and Ray Childers. Memorial donations may be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc. PO Box 111180, Nashville, TN 37222. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
