Obituary for Alma T. Schapker Alma T. (Rexing) Schapker, 96 of Evansville, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 19, 1922, in Evansville to the late Joseph and Veronica (Niemeier) Rexing. Alma was employed at Fendrich Cigar Company and later worked at Crescent Plastics.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Vanderburgh County. Alma enjoyed quilting and was an avid gardener. Alma is survived by sons, Randal J. (Sherry), Paul A. (Christine); daughters, Beverly (Keith)Jones all of Evansville, Phyllis Scheller (Oscar) of Haubstadt, IN; daughter in law, Susan Schapker of Evansville; sister in law, Pat Rexing; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Paul P. Schapker; parents; son, Kenneth Schapker; brother, Jules Rexing; sister, Helen Schmitt. Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 11: 00 am, Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church County, 6202 W St Joseph Rd, Evansville, IN 47720. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am with Father Eugene Schroeder officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6202 West St. Joseph Road Evansville, IN 47720 or Deaconess VNA Hospice, 610 E Walnut St, Evansville, IN 47713. Arrangements are being handled by Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 812-426-1620.
