Amelia Carrizales McKim January 24, 1937 – May 24, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Amelia Carrizalez McKim, age 82, went home to be with the Lord May 24, 2019 at her son’s residence in Harlingen after a lengthy illness. She was born January 24, 1937 in La Paloma, Texas to Mr. & Mrs. Guadalupe and Odilia Martinez Carrizales. She was raised and grew up in the San Benito area.

Amelia worked many years at Valley Baptist Medical Center. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Preceded in death by her first husband, Manuel Alcorta and the late Albert McKim, her second husband.

She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory her children, Ricky Rene Alcorta (Melissa), Elsa Iris Alcorta (Michael Leal), Daniel Carrizales Alcorta (Rebecca Rivera), nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, five brothers, four sisters and numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday May 26, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service of Funeral Liturgy at 7:00 pm in the evening with Pastor Isabel Vasquez officiating. Burial will take place on Wednesday afternoon May 29, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Harlingen-Combes Cemetery.
