Amy Beth Dawson was born on May 3, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, to her parents Harold and Shirley Scheiwe. She departed to Heaven on April 27, 2018, at 4:41 am at the Hospice of Central Ohio at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio from lung cancer. Amy graduated from Beecher High School.

Additionally, she attended Prairie State college and studied criminal justice. She was a full-time, loving, and caring mother. Once her children became grown she served the Beecher community as an auxiliary police officer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Scheiwe (2010). Survivors include: her mother, husband, three children, a step-daughter, and three granddaughters; Shirley Scheiwe of Beecher, Eddy Dawson of Beecher, Jodi Igrisan (Tom) of Chicago, Chad Gottberg (Heather) of Hauser, Juli Gottberg of Chicago, Katie Swenson (Mark) of Westerville, Hannah, Jackie, and Scarlett. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Hack Funeral Home in Beecher.

A memorial service will be conducted at Zion Lutheran Church in Beecher following visitation.
