Obituary for Andy Vernie Humphrey On Monday, October 22, 2018 Andy Vernie Humphrey of Fort Pierce, Florida, went to be with the Lord at the age of 69. He was a respected, loving and strong father of four children. He was born on July 4, 1949 to Vernie Earl Humphrey and Mary Arlene Edwards in Kingston, North Carolina.

A proud Vietnam War Veteran who served in the United States Army, Americal Division. He came to St. Lucie County as a young child and loved spending time traveling, long afternoons at the beach, listening to live music and had a passion for photography. Andy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William “Billy” Earl Humphrey.

He is survived by his significant other; Becky Hutson. Loving father of Michelle Humphrey, Jason Humphrey (Beth), Michael Humphrey, and Amber Humphrey. His step children, Heather Coleman (Steve) and Megan Johnson (Drew).

Attentive grandfather to Nick Armstrong, Bailee Klein, Michael Paul Humphrey, Nixon Wheeler, Kylie Johnson, Alex Johnson, William Coleman, Charlie Coleman and Dakota Ullmann and great granddaughter Berkleigh Rose Dixon. Arrangements have been entrusted to Yates Funeral Home of Fort Pierce, Florida. Visitation will take place on October 27, 2018 at Yates Funeral Home Fort Pierce Chapel beginning at 10 AM.

Celebration of Life will follow at 12 PM. Interment will take place following services at White City Cemetery in Fort Pierce. As we celebrate the life of Andy Vernie Humphrey we want the world to know that he will be missed dearly and his wittiness, charm and beautiful smile will live in all of our hearts forever.
