Angelo Richard Bavetta, 53, of Westminster, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019. Born May 24, 1965 in Ellicott City, he was the son of Heidi Martha (Goerbert) Bavetta of Taneytown and the late Gaspar Francis Bavetta. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Laura Elizabeth Bavetta.

He was the Owner and Operator of Avanty Construction Services, a business he started in 1991. He graduated from Howard High School where he was a state champion wrestler. He also obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland.

He was an avid fisherman. Besides his mother and wife, he is survived by children Anna, Gary and Rosie Bavetta, all of Taneytown; sisters Erika Mikesell and husband Barry of Taneytown and Christina Bavetta and husband Jim Ball of Alexandria, Va. He was predeceased by a sister Anna Bavetta.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Carroll County Food Sunday, P.O. Box 2160, Westminster, MD 21157 or Shepherd’s Staff, 30 Carroll Street P.O. Box 127, Westminster, MD 21158.
