Anna Louise Spicer August 03, 1918 – January 11, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Funeral services for Anna Louise Spicer, 100, of Diboll, will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Diboll with Brother Kenny Hibbs officiating. Interment will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mrs. Spicer was born August 3, 1918 in Alexandria, Virginia to the late Mattie Emma (Sage) and Bradley Owen Irwin, Sr., and died Friday, January 11, 2019 in a local hospital.

Formerly of Topeka, Kansas and Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mrs. Spicer had resided in Diboll for one year. She was a retired bookkeeper, having worked for Lier Jet and Buck’s Department Store. Mrs. Spicer was a great grandmother who loved her family very much.

She was a strong Christian and a Southern Baptist Volunteer Missionary. Mrs. Spicer was known as a prayer warrior. She was a member of First Baptist Church Diboll.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Philip Hall of Diboll and Wanda and Charles Chisman of Topeka, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Hideko Spicer of Japan; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, William Edward and Rita Irwin of Sun City West, Arizona; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony P. Spicer, who she was devoted to for 63 years; son, James Anthony Spicer; sister, Wanda Leona Bott; and brother, Bradley Owen Irwin. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Spicer’s grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Diboll, 208 Devereaux Street, Diboll, Texas 75941. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at First Baptist Church Diboll. Memories and condolences may be added at www.
