Anna Smith, age 89, of Glenwood, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018. She was born on August 4, 1928 in Reader, the daughter of Fred Davis Alexander and Georgia Anna Peterson Alexander. On March 6, 1945, she married Watson Smith who preceded her in death July 4, 2011.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Robert Alexander. Anna was a member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.

She was a certified nursing assistant and worked in nursing homes in Gurdon and Arkadelphia. Her favorite color was yellow, she loved her frog collection and she enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her step-daughter, Sandy Fite of Sheridan; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Fred and Ellen Alexander of Morrilton, Paul and Patsy Alexander of Glenwood and Nelda Alexander of Norman; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Kyle Cowart and Mark Cogburn officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Duane Ewing, Mark Cogburn, Kenny Pinkerton, Richard Lock, Bobby Lock, Danny Melugin, Eddie McMillan, Dr. Martin Johnson and the staff of Oak Park Village.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www. davis-smith.com.
