Brenda Jean Andersen, age 66, of Hot Springs, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018. She was born on August 19, 1951 in Hot Springs, the daughter of O.J. Phillips and Melba Melson Phillips. She was preceded in death by her father.

Jan was of the Christian faith, spending her time helping others, baking cakes and other confections, and doing arts and crafts. She is survived by her mother, Melba Phillips of Hot Springs; her son Adam Andersen of Hot Springs; five grandchildren, Amber Andersen, John Andersen, Ariel Andersen, Kyle Andersen, and Caden Andersen; and anyone fortunate enough to call her friend. Graveside services will be announced at a later date by Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
