Charles was Baptist in faith. He was proud of his two daughters and was also a proud Pawpaw to his two granddaughters. Charles had a unique sense of humor that will be missed by all his family and friends.

He graduated from Lake Hamilton High School and was a member of the Lake Hamilton Basketball team that won the State Championship in 1963 under Coach Tommy Barrett. He was a vocational specialist, functional activities coordinator and driving evaluator at Timber Ridge Ranch Neuro Rehabilitation Center in Benton, where he retired after twenty-five years of employment.

He touched many lives and enjoyed teaching and helping others. Upon retirement, Charles and Pat built their dream home on Lake Hamilton, where he awoke each morning to look out at the lake to see if any fish were jumping. If he saw any activity he would head for his boat with his beloved canine fishing partner, Booboo.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of fifty-three years, Pat Sanders; two daughters and their spouses, Renee and Andrew Rogers of Benton and Patty and Kerry Bottoms of North Little Rock; two granddaughters, Milla and Zoe Bottoms; his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Virginia Sanders of Hot Springs; his sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Tommy Sorrells of Royal; and a host of wonderful friends.
