Obituary for April Cherrill Adams Print April Cherrill Adams, 58, of Pampa, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Pampa. She entered this life in Pampa on September 23, 1960 to William and Dorothy Adams. April was raised in Skellytown, attended White Deer High School and had lived in Pampa for approximately the last twelve years of her life.

She proudly worked in HVAC construction for many years all across the United States and took great pride in her ability to “pull her weight” in a male-dominated field. April was a fiery, feisty red-head that had a strong personality and an independent spirit about her. Even in her later years, when she could no longer work, she maintained her “never give up” attitude.

Although April had a special love for her sweet dogs, she liked all animals. So much so, that growing up, her daughters were allowed to bring all sorts of pets in the house, even snakes. April loved to travel and had a very artistic side.

Her drawings were a tool to express herself as well as a creative outlet. She loved her daughters and grandchildren dearly and will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Nancy Adams.

Those left behind to cherish a lifetime of memories are her two daughters, Nakisha Horton, Jessica Tait both of Denver, Colorado; four brothers, Stephen (Butch) Adams of Skellytown, Billy Adams of Gunnison, Colorado, Dan Adams of Skellytown, Doug Adams and wife Eva of Pampa; three grandchildren, Jaden Praytor, Taylor Praytor, Bryce Browley; family friends, Shelia Melton and husband HW of Borger; numerous nieces and nephews and her two dogs, Peanut Butter and Gizmo. There are no services scheduled for April at this time. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
