Aren Rex Arney, 60 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his home in Granite City. Aren was born on January 18, 1958 in Granite City; the son of the late Annew Ray and Virginia Joyce (Hargrove) Arney. Aren was a mover for Federal Gateway Moving Company in St. Louis and of Christian faith.

His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Aren will be remembered for his kind heart and all the special times he shared with his family. Aren is survived by and will be missed by his daughters; Amanda (Joal) Cunningham of Granite City, Kelly Arney of Granite City; grandchildren, Fallon, Phoenix, Emma, Riley; great-grandchildren, Avery Maye, Dakota Maye; brothers, A.C. Arney of Zephyrhills, FL, Scotty Arney of Salem, MA; sister, May Arney Broadbent of Hopkinsville, KY.

In addition to his parents, Aren was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Mason, Joyce Morrow. According to Aren’s wishes he will be cremated and no service to be planned. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
