George L. Topal Jr., age 75, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. George was born on February 7, 1943 in Granite City, IL, a son of the late Dorothy (Warden) Topal. On March 5, 1965, George married Jonna M. Fleig, the love of his life, in Edwardsville, IL.

George worked for many years as a welder for Arch Conveying Corporation. George loved life, he loved to laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jonna Topal of Edwardsville, IL; loving son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Angela Topal of Granite City, IL; proud grandfather to Aaron Alexander and Dominik Topal of Granite City, IL; many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. George’s wishes were to be cremated and to have no formal services. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.
