On Sunday, May 13, 2018 Barbara A. Bennetch, 82, of Hanover, went absent from the body to be present with the Lord and in His presence is fullness of joy. Born September 26, 1935 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Merka B. (Kreider) Sandy. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Robert B. Bennetch on May 30, 2012.

She and her husband were the owners of the former Bennetch Fine Men’s Clothing on Chocolate Avenue, Hershey. A 1953 graduate of Palmyra High School, she was a member of Hanover First Church of God. Surviving are her daughters Cindy Jo, wife of Roger Sample of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Tammy Lee Bennetch of East Berlin; sister Dawn Sandy, wife of Ellis Shenk; grandsons Andrew, husband of Jessie Sample and Adam Sample; and great grandson Ezra Sample.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 7, 2018 at her church, 600 Fairview Drive, Hanover. Private interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Leading the Way, Dr. Michael Youssef, P. O. Box 20100, Atlanta, Georgia 30325.
