Obituary for Barbara Thiel (Pisano) Barbara A. Thiel, 83, of W. Fourth St., Flemington, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Haven Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Lock Haven. She was born in Lock Haven on November 29, 1934, the daughter of the late Paul J. and Florence L. Peters Pisano. Barbara was a 1952 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School.
On August 20, 1955 at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Lock Haven, she married Thomas C. Theil whom preceded her in death August 28, 2014. Barbara was employed by Lipez Broadcasting of Lock Haven for 19 years as a receptionist before working as a secretary for the Lock Haven University Vice President for 25 years until her retirement. She was a devout member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish, attending St. Agnes Catholic Church, and played a key role in starting and organizing the St. Agnes Fair and Spring Fest.
She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, Clinton County Herb Guild and Senior Circle of Lock Haven. Barbara is survived by four nieces and two nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:30a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven, PA 17745 with Rev.
Father Joseph Orr officiating. Private burial will take place at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Clinton County SPCA, Kidney Foundation of Central PA or the charity of the donor’s choice.
