Barbara Barnes Banks passed into the next life on Friday, March 8, 2019. She was born March 23, 1932 in Ogden to Albert Waite and Katie Pearl (Garner) Barnes. The oldest of three girls, Barbara grew up in the Ogden area graduating from Ogden High School in 1950.

Her post-high school education was completed at Stevens-Henager College in Ogden. A life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as a young woman Barbara served a full-time mission in what was then known as The British Mission. She also completed service missions with her husband, the late Lavoir Banks, as a Conference Center Usher and Temple Square Missionary.

The mother of five children Barbara devoted herself to raising her family while living in Idaho, North Dakota, Colorado, and Illinois. Barbara is survived by her children: Mark Banks, Jon Banks (Jennifer), Paul Banks (Lety ), Marianne Dutson (Garrett) and James Banks; sisters, Janet Williamson and DeAnn Barnes, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services for Barbara will be held at the LDS chapel on 6350 Combe Rd, Ogden, UT at 11:00 am Saturday, March 16, 2019.

A viewing with the family will held from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the service at the same location. Condolences may be sent to the family at www. aaronsmortuary.com.
