Barbara Ellen Richards Beech, age 75 of Sanford passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Barbara was born on September 29, 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Ralph C. Richards and Billie Hawkins Richards. She was a successful real estate agent in Atlanta, Georgia.

Barbara was an avid quilter and she was also very involved in animal rescue and was licensed to rehabilitate baby animals. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. She is survived by her two daughters: Candace Clemmer… Read More » of Apex, NC and Ashley Beech Mavrantzas and her husband George of Jacksonville, FL.

She is also survived by three grandchildren: Claire Clemmer, Christos Mavrantzas, and Liam Mavrantzas and two cousins, Charles Hawkins of Atlanta, GA and Rusty Payne of Greenup, KY. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Sanford with Rev. John Kirkman officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption (CARA), P.O. Box 2642, Sanford, NC 27331. Services are entrusted to Miller-Boles Funeral Home of Sanford.
