Obituary for Barbara Fabela (Morton) Barbara Fabela, 63, of Kansas City, MO passed away Monday, December 9, 2018 at her home. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO, 64052. Graveside services will be private.

Barbara was born on December 6, 1955 in Independence, MO to Ted and Grace (Dillee) Morton. She had a long 38-year career at Honeywell Systems. Barb had a great sense of humor, was very caring, always smiling, and looked for the good in people.

She loved to sing and dance and just be carefree. Most of all she loved spending time with her sons and grandsons. She will be remembered by her sons Nicolas Fabela and wife Melissa, and Andrew Fabela; grandsons Julian and Harvey Fabela; brothers Ted Morton, Jr. and wife Joanne, Scott Morton and wife Florence, Robert Morton and wife Beatrice; sister Diane Hanson and husband Robert; plus many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to KU Cancer Center.
