OBITUARY Barry Stewart Buttorff December 6, 1929 – January 6, 2019 Barry Stewart Buttorff, 89, passed away peacefully from a stroke at his home 10639 Meeting St. Unit 405, Prospect, KY 40059 He graduated from Louisville Male High School and attended the University of Louisville. Barry was a well-known Realtor in Louisville for most of his working career, starting with the Paul Semonin Company, where he was a Top Producer, and later with ReMax. During the Korean Conflict, he served as a cryptographer on Okinawa.

Recently, he participated in the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline C. Buttorff. He is survived by a son, Richard S. Buttorff & wife, Roxanne, and a daughter, Janis B. Harvey, & husband, Kevin, two grandsons, Rick Buttorff, II, & Brandon Buttorff, two granddaughters Jacqueline (Blake) Russ, husband (Matt), Wesley Ware and three great grandsons, Cameron, Max & Chase Buttorff. Also survived by a brother, David Buttorff of Atlanta, GA.

Barry will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a positive individual, touching everyone he met, living life to the fullest. His laughter and humor will be deeply missed by all.

Barry was a member of Southeast Christian Church and a true believer and follower of Christ. Visitation will be 4 pm -8 pm Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. 40218 and visitation also on Thursday from 10-12 at the funeral home.

A funeral service will take place Thursday at 12pm in the funeral home with a graveside service to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family request that expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Dr., Louisville, KY 40205.
