Waukau, age 65, of 2321 10th St., Two Rivers, died Friday, January 25, 2019, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay. Berard was born on July 26, 1953, in Neopit, a son of the late Hilary “Sparky” and Edith (Skenadore) Waukau. He was a graduate of Shawano High School.

On July 14, 1979, he married Candace “Candy” Mains at the United Pentecostal Church in Shawano, she preceded him in death on May 10, 2017. Berard was involved in the grocery business his whole life, retiring as the produce manager of Copp’s in Green Bay. He was an active member of Abundant Life Church and enjoyed Bible study.

Berard enjoyed woodcarving, playing guitar and listening to music, word games of all types, cooking and watching cooking shows. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always willing to share his knowledge of history. Survivors include his children: Cassandra Waukau of Two Rivers, Kristin (Travis) Truttschel of Mayville, Kaster Waukau, Noah Waukau, River Waukau and Caedence Waukau, all of Two Rivers; his brothers and sisters: Hilary “Sarge” (Pat) Waukau, Stephanie (Bob) Henry, Jeff (Jaime) Waukau, Lenore Waukau, Natalie Waukau, Mark Waukau, Anne (Jeff) Eagan-Waukau, Jaunita (Richard) Wilbur, Mitchel (Lisa) Waukau and Lori Waukau; along with other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Lou and Kim Waukau. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Abundant Life Church, 1969 Roosevelt Ave. , Two Rivers.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Jesse Lovicott and Rev. Scott Stevens, with burial to be held at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday morning after 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www. dejamartin.com.
