Obituary of Beth Landing Beth Messick Landing, 63, of Gaithersburg, died on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. Born on June 14, 1955 in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Charles Linwood Messick and Frances Maddox Messick. Beth was a graduate of Wicomico High School.

Following graduation, Beth worked in retailing both in Ocean City, Maryland and a national gem and jewelry company before joining the staff at Pecometh Camp and Retreat Ministries near Centreville, Maryland. In later life, Beth managed several large condominium associations in Montgomery County, Maryland. Her marriage to Buddy Landing ended in divorce.

She is survived by her brother, Neil Messick and his wife Yvonne of Bluffton, SC and a niece, Ashley Ellefritz and her husband Bart of Chicago, IL. Beth is also survived by a loving network of lifelong friends, many of whom went above and beyond to support and care for her during her final long illness. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Wicomico Memorial Park, Salisbury.

Rev. Benita Harris, senior pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church, will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to Delaware Hospice.
