Elizabeth “Betty” Gegare, age 75, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019. She was born November 19, 1943 to the late Regobert and Dorothy (Buechel) Weinreis in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Betty is a graduate of Brillion High School.

On June 4, 1966, she married Raymond Gegare Jr. at St. Mary’s Church in Brillion. Some of Betty’s favorite things were a Packer victory (go #4), a good Brewers game (good ‘ole Gorman), working in her flower gardens, a peaceful day with the sun on her face, feeding and “bragging” about all of the birds she attracted, enjoying “restaurant week” with her girlfriends, cooking for anyone who would eat it, enjoying a bonfire and entertaining at the cabin in Lakewood and spending time with her grandkids, who she was so very proud of. Betty is survived by her husband, Raymond; her children, Brenda (D.

J.) Schneider and Brad (Erin Culligan) Gegare; her grandchildren, Jordan Schneider and special friend, Noah Ripley, Bryce Schneider and Conner and Kiley Gegare; her siblings, John Weinreis, Geoff (Debbie) Weinreis, Dave (Sheri) Weinreis, Mark Weinreis and Karen (Tom) Bonfigt; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many godchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Regobert and Dorothy Weinreis; her in-laws, Ray and Catherine (Kitty) Gegare; sisters, Jane (Clayton Ponkratz), Peggy (Donnie) Nett and Mary (Bob) Beyer; special friend, Bud Krueger; sisters in law, Judy Weinreis and Shirley Wauters; her nephew, Justin Bonfigt; and her niece, Julie Wauters. Visitation for Betty will be Monday, January 14, 2019, from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1224 12th Street with Rev.

The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and caregivers that assisted our mom throughout her fight but most especially her sister, Karen, who was always at her side and provided immeasurable love, comfort and support to mom and our family.
