Kenneth’s Obituary Kenneth G. Steeno, 81, Oconto, was called home on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at a local hospital. He was born July 29, 1937 in Green Bay to his wonderful parents Donald and Beatrice (Nero) Steeno. Ken graduated from Green Bay West High School with the class of 1955.

While in high school he served two years in the US Naval Reserves. He then enlisted in the US Navy and served during the Korean War. On Nov.

23, 1957 Ken married Nancy Oryall. Together they shared 61 incredible years. For over 25 years, Ken was a police officer with the Green Bay Police Department, retiring as a Sgt.

Detective. Ken enjoyed woodworking, traveling in his motorhome, making maple syrup, and hunting. He was a member of the Brown County and Little Creek Sportsman Clubs.

Ken is survived by his wife, Nancy; four children, Cheryl Steeno, Chuck Steeno, Anne (Rod) Steeno-Stoychoff, Scott (Sue) Steeno; six grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Sarah (Justin), Josh, Emilie (Jim), Conner, Will, Josie; great-granddaughter, Hallie (who Ken got to meet before anyone else while crossing paths on the stairway to Heaven – one going up and one coming down); three sisters and a brother, Donna Marcks, Marlene (Larry) Nelson, Tom Steeno, Betty (John) Madden; beloved companion, JAKE! ; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Beatrice; a brother, Melvin Steeno.

Visitation will be at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. , from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Funeral Service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Ken’s name. Ken’s family extends their gratitude to the staff and doctors at St. Vincent Hospital from the beginning of his care until the end; especially, Dr. Falk, Dr. Longlais and the OR Team for their tireless efforts – You went above and beyond. Finally, a special thank you to Dr. Kanneganti and Dr. Hoppe for their years of care.
