Betty Louise Frenzel of Damascus, Maryland, very loving wife, mother and caring friend of everyone, peacefully passed away, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at home, and went to be with the lord at 90 years young. Betty was the wife of the late Bernard Frenzel Sr She was born July 21, 1928 in Maryland a daughter of the late Adolphus T. and Louise Watkins Clay.

Betty graduated from Damascus High School in 1946 as Salutatorian and Vice President of her class. She originally worked at Acacia Life Insurance Company in Washington DC. Then, Betty worked 21 years for the Montgomery County Health Department at Damascus High School as the Health Room Technician.

Betty was given a citation for giving a student CPR by Maryland State Delegate Jerry Hyatt and Montgomery County Government. Betty was very active at the Damascus United Methodist Church (DUMC). She was past president of DUMC Wesleyan Service Guild.

Betty also taught Sunday School and was the Director of Bible School for 1 year. She very much enjoyed volunteering and giving back to the community at the DUMC Thrift Shop. She will always be remembered as the best wife and mother in the whole world and a caring friend to everyone.

She is in god’s hands and will always be with us in her loving and caring spirit forever. She is survived by her two sons: Bernard L. Frenzel, Jr. and Bryan L. Frenzel both of Damascus. Betty is preceded in death by her siblings: Janet Runkles, Julia Seipp, Alice Magers, and Joseph Clay.

Friends may call 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Monday, November 26, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 27 at Damascus United Methodist Church 9700, New Church Street, Damascus, Maryland. Reverend Katherine Woodrow will officiate.

Interment will follow in Damascus Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request Memorial Contributions in Betty’s name to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741-5014. Webpage link: www.
