Betty Louise Bramwell Heiner September 11, 1924 ~ September 17, 2018 Early September 17, 2018, God welcomed home a beloved and precious daughter. Betty Louise Bramwell Heiner was born in Ogden, Utah, on September 11, 1924, to Lawrence W. and Helen Carver Bramwell. She lived most of her life in Ogden, attending Ogden City Schools and graduating from Ogden High in 1942.

When Mom was about 13, she met a special young man, Robert (Bob) Heiner. They became forever friends. She once said that “it always felt right being with him”.

They dated through high school and were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 14, 1942. They were very young, but knew that Dad would soon be called to serve our Country in WWII. Dad enlisted in the Marines and was deployed.

Mom began the long wait. When Dad returned, they were finally able to begin their lives together. They faced many challenges that all young couples did after the War.

In 1945, they welcomed their first child, a daughter; soon followed by a son and another daughter; then 10 years later, another sweet daughter. While Dad was working long, hard hours to provide for our growing family, Mom took on the responsibilities of raising small children and making a wonderful home for us all. And, she did it so well.

As children we knew the smell of home baked bread, the look of an immaculate house, to love of all God’s creatures. We knew unconditional love, with a little discipline thrown in. Mom, though she denied it, was a great cook, and a talented seamstress.

Each of us girls remember beautiful dresses and gowns she created for us. She wasn’t afraid to tackle any household project. Give her a hammer, a screwdriver, a drill, and a can of spray pain, then get out of her way.

She loved music and filled our home with it. Dancing was her special joy. She took Jazz Tap lessons with her daughters until she was in her late sixties.

And, she was a STAR! She enjoyed doing ceramics, and soon graduated into making beautiful porcelain dolls, for each daughter and granddaughter; true treasures. She was an avid reader and loved learning.

Thankfully, she passed many of her passions and talents on to each of us. Mom loved life in her own quiet way, never seeking recognition. She was the “woman behind the successful man”; always at his side and proud of his achievements.

Always full of grace, and always a perfect lady; people were drawn to her sweet ways. She developed so many dear and precious friendships, and she loved them all so much. Her happiest times were with her family.

Being it wonderful family vacations, crazy Halloween parties or just “girl’s days”, it was her greatest joy! She was active in her community, especially the Lady Lions. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in several capacities during her life.

She loved her Father in Heaven. Mom is survived by her children, Kathleen (Wayne) Hansen, Michael R Heiner, Joanne Smith, and Karen Anderson; 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren with two on the way; one brother and a sister-in-law, Bud and Deloris Bramwell. She is also blessed with a large and much loved extended family.

She was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Bob; a grandson, Spencer; her parents, Ernest and Helen Prochet and Lawrence Bramwell; and many loved family and friends. A Celebration of Mom’s life will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Hidden Family Assisted Living, especially the wonderful aides in Memory Care. Your sweet, loving care of our sweet Mom will always be remembered.

Special gratitude to the Intermountain Hospice Team, especially Julie Lee and Breanna, you are truly angels. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Best Friends Animal Shelter.
