Sandberg – Betty Mae, 90, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2018. Born on September 9, 1928 in Cresson, PA, daughter of Walter and Helen Mae (Hughes) Taylor. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold O. Sandberg Sr.; siblings, John, Clevedoris, and Robert, and nephews, Richard, John, Daniel, and David Taylor, and Rudolph Selders Jr

She is survived by her loving children, Harold O. Jr., (Diane), Boswell, Helen M. “Mickey” Reed, Dilltown, Richard C. (Michelle), Johnstown, and Sheila S. Sandberg, Lilly, PA; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessica) Sandberg, Sara Sackie, Jonathan (Ashley) Sandberg, William (Melanie) Coolbaugh, Kim (Brent) Shaffer, Rebecca Smith, Alysia Petak, Amy (Joseph) Stewart, John, Joshua, Jesse, and Jackie Sandberg, and Christopher Brilhart, and Thomas (Colleen) Sandberg; great grandchildren, Sidney, Addilyn, Aidyn, Clara, Mackenzie, Tyler, Ryan, Jaxon, Zachary, Isaac, Hannah, Kaitlin, Austin, Nathan, Deanna, Joshua, Jennifer, Hayden, Emily, Exzavior, Levi, Elijah, Luna, Blaze, Brazlynn, Meyah, Emmett, Brianna, Sadria, Patrick, Allison, Arabella, Leia, and Jaxson; great-great granddaughter, Georgia and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including special cousins, Sheila and Sharon Hughes. Betty was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church and a Stephens Minister. She was employed at Cresson Sanatorium as a waitress in the staff dining room.

Betty enjoyed cooking, creating recipes, photography, and taught herself how to use a scanner and the computer as well as access the internet. She loved her entire family dearly and will be remembered for her strong faith. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Monday at Oakland United Methodist Church, with the Rev.

Dr. Randy Bain officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Oakland United Methodist Church, 1504 Bedford St, Johnstown, PA 15902 in memory of Betty.
