Obituary for Betty Morgan (Mellinger) Betty M. Morgan, 92, of Newville, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Mercy Rehabilitation and Care Center, Swansea, ILL. Born Saturday, October 3, 1925 in Southampton Township, Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late David S. and Susan Culbertson Mellinger. She was a member of the Green Spring First Church of God, Newville, and their Women’s Ministry, and Good Samaritan Sunday School Class.

Betty was a member of the Senior Life Fellowship. Betty Retired from the former Kinney Shoe Company in Carlisle. Betty is survived by one son, Roger L. (wife Lucy) Piper, Fairview Heights, IL, six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Morgan, who died April 27, 1984, one son, Kenneth L. Piper, who died February 4, 2015, one brother, and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Green Spring First Church of God, with the Rev. Philip Steele officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Green Spring First Church of God, 1140 Green Spring Road, Newville, PA 17241.
