Elizabeth “Betty” Yingling, 84, formerly of Westminster, died peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Longview Nursing Home in Manchester, MD. Born April 14, 1934 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth Myrtle (Walsh) Albert. She was the wife of the late Richard Valentine Yingling, who passed in 1990.

Betty was employed by Admiral Dry Cleaners in Westminster as a laundress. She retired from Admiral after many years of service. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, and loved dancing, shopping and traveling.

Surviving are daughters, Sherry Myers and husband Thomas of Hanover, PA, Betty May and Cynthia Johnson, both of Alabama, David Thamaz of North Carolina, Fay “Jenny” Glass of Taneytown, MD, Mary Elaine May and Richard Eugene May; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James “Jimmy” May. Funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
