Beverly’s Obituary Beverly A. (Herbek) Sweeney of Cozad passed away December 8, 2018 at Cozad Care Center at the age of 79. Bev was born September 20, 1939 at Spring Ranch near Hastings, Nebraska to Albert and Anna (Lindeman) Herbek. She grew up near Hastings and moved to Cozad where she graduated with the class of 1956.

On April 12, 1958, Bev married Harold Sweeney at the Dawson County Courthouse. The couple was blessed with 2 children, Pam and Steve. Bev was employed with the Cozad Health Care System for many years and was a tour guide for Fun Tours of Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold and daughter, Pam. Bev is survived by her son, Steve Sweeney of Cozad; grandsons, Miles and Marshall Sweeney; sister-in-law, Deb Herbek of Lincoln; and many other close family and friends. Memorials are suggested to Central Plains Home Health and Hospice. Services will be Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James McCrickard officiating. Burial is at the Cozad Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 1pm to 8pm at Berryman Funeral Home.
