Obituary for Beverly “GaGa” Allen Beverly “GaGa” Allen, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 4, 2018. Beverly, who was lovingly known as GaGa, possessed a strong and beautiful mind, body, and spirit. The Y.M.C.A.

and library lost one of their most long-standing and loyal members. For more years than most of us have been alive, Beverly worked out five days a week and walked two miles a day. During those years, she also read at least two books a week and worked the daily crossword puzzle faithfully.

Her spirit of love, generosity, and loyalty were unequaled. Beverly’s friends and family were the beneficiaries of her boundless energy and enthusiasm for sharing, helping, and caring for others. Beverly will certainly be missed but never forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Alberta Iberg; loving husband, Rufus B. Allen; and her son, Michael Vernon Allen She is survived by her daughter, Christi Allen (Matt Krygier); grandchildren, Jordan Wise and Nathan Allen Krygier; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Jade and Madelyn; sister, Donna Branson of California; beloved Boxer, Jasmine and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held at 3 pm Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville. Visitation will be from 12 pm until time of celebration at 3 pm.

A special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Norton’s Hospital and Hosparus for their kindness and caring.
