Our beloved mother, Beverly Jean Baxter Hooley, 87, of Pleasant Grove went to Heaven on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Beverly was born January 27, 1931 in Los Angeles, California to Archibald James Baxter and Margaret Bell Cook Baxter. She married Garn Hooley on October 29, 1948 in Provo.

Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. Garn passed in 2008.

Beverly grew up in Los Angeles until the family moved to north Orem when Beverly was a young girl. Beverly and Garn made their home in Orem and then Pleasant Grove where they raised their nine children. Beverly was an artist and painted beautiful landscapes and portraits.

She attended beauty school later in life and had her own beauty shop, Ladies and Gents, in Lindon for many years. Beverly is survived by her nine children: Russel (Sue) Hooley, Fairview, UT; Rodney (Christine) Hooley, Elmo, UT; Judy Hooley, Pleasant Grove, UT; Linda (John) Cunico, Pleasant Grove, UT; Susan (Gary) Allen, Spring City, UT; Rick (Joyce) Hooley, Helper, UT; Randy Hooley (Deborah Ferella) Pleasant Grove, UT; Sandra (Roger) Nielsen; Pleasant Grove, UT and Joan (Kip) John, Payson, UT; 56 grandchildren, 104 great grandchildren, and 37 great great grandchildren; siblings: Claudine Mechling, Petrea Blackett and William “Willie” Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and grandchildren: Ben Cunico, Mark Wiley and Cole Hooley and great grandchildren: Skyler Hooley, Cole Hanyon, Tacie Papworth and Christopher Ford.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may attend a viewing Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the mortuary and on Thursday one hour prior to funeral services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
