Bill’s Obituary Bill Dixon, age 91 of Hiram, KY, entered Heaven’s gates on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at his residence. He was born in Gordon on January 11, 1928 to the late John and Elvie Polly Dixon. Bill was an avid gardener and in 2011 he was featured on Kentucky Educational TV for his smokehouse tricks on seasoning and curing your own meat.

He had a wealth of knowledge to share on the “old timer’s ways”. On October 7, 2016, Bill lost the love of his life, Viola Cornett Dixon, after being married for 68 years. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Ed, Press, Elbert and John Dixon and an infant sister.

He leaves to cherish his memory; sons, Jerry (Juda) Dixon of Hiram, Benny Dixon of Jonesville, VA, Billy (Melissa) Dixon and Chris (Becky) Dixon of Hiram; grandchildren, Jared Dixon, Jennifer (Darrell) Williamson, Billy Joe (Crystal) Dixon, James D. Dixon, Ashleigh (Josh) Deal, Jordan Dixon, and Spencer Dixon; great grandchildren, Gage, Gracin, Kaydi, DJ, Tyler, James D. Jr., Mason, Jaxson, Carson, and Raeleigh; great-great grandchildren, Jace, Jayleigh, and Gage; and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, between 5 – 9 pm at the Trinity Tabernacle at Hiram, KY. Funeral services will be held at the church on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 1 pm with Elder Glen Cornett, Reverend Bill Combs, and Reverend Rod Raleigh officiating.

Burial will be in the Peaceful Acres Cemetery at Hiram, KY with sons and friends serving as pallbearers. You may leave online condolences for the family at www. tricityfuneralhome.com.
