Myrtle’s Obituary Myrtle Hensley Brown, 83, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the Baptist Health in Corbin. Born February 2, 1935 in Harlan County, she worked as a nurse for many years at the Harlan App. Reg.

Hospital and believed in the Church of God faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis Brown; two children, Linda Jane Brown Fee, Thomas Lee Brown; her parents, Bert Hensley and Nancy Cloud Hensley; several brothers; one sister, Iva Bailey; and four grandchildren, Casey Howard, Travis Brown, Brady Bishop and Kyle Owens. Myrtle is survived by three children, Jimmy Wayne Brown and wife, Elizabeth; Mickey Howard and husband, Rick; and Nancy Sue Brown all of London; two sisters, Mickey Cloyd, Lexington and Patsy Engesser, South Carolina.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Pam Brown Delauder, Misty Rouse, Dee Brown, LeeAnn Lester and Brandon Howard; one daughter-in-law, Janet Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 12 to 1 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2019, in the chapel of Loyall Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 1 p.m. with Brandon Howard officiating. Burial will be in the Hensley Cemetery on Abe Hill in Coldiron with friends and family serving as pallbearers.

Loyall Funeral Home is in charge of her arrangements.
