Elgie’s Obituary Elgie Curry, age 87 of Partridge, KY, departed this life at the Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Friday, March 15, 2019. Born in Greasy Creek, KY on March 22, 1931 to Sampson and Joanna Turner Curry, he worked as a logger and then a coal miner for 28 years at U.S. Steel Coal Company and was a member of the Nolen Lodge # 806 in Bledsoe, KY. He is preceded in death by his wife, Golda Turner Curry; daughters, Wilma Rogers and Brenda Marsingill; and several siblings.

He is survived by his son, Tim (Leisha) Curry of Partridge; grandsons, Timothy Jr. (Brooke) Curry and Tristan (Megan) Curry, all of Partridge and Brian Marsingill of Harlan; great grandchildren, Alexis Ewing, Landon Curry, and Asher Curry, all of Patridge; and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 18, 2019, at 11 am and continuing until the funeral time of 1 pm with Elder Glen Cornett officiating the funeral service. Interment will follow in the Turner Adams Cemetery in Bakers Fork, KY in Leslie County.

Tristan Curry, Timothy Curry, Jr., Andrew Reece, Joshua Curry, Jason Sanders, Jonathan Curry and Nathan Manning will serve as pallbearers. You may leave online condolences for the family at www. tricityfuneralhome.com.
