Bobby Gene Barnett, 82 of 123 Oak Grove Clover Hill Church Road, Lawndale passed away, Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System- Cleveland. Born July 6, 1936 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Walter Henry Barnett and Lottie Lou Jones Barnett. He was owner and operator of Barnett’s Tires and was a member of Polkville United Methodist Church.

In… Read More » addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hamby Barnett; two sons, Bobby Barnett, Jr. and David Barnett; a daughter, Barbara Barnett; a brother, Bate Barnett and a sister, Betty Irvin. Survivors include a son, Mitchell Barnett of Lawndale; two daughters, Carolyn Hudson and husband, Mitchell of Casar and Pat Barnett of Casar; a very special granddaughter, Dawn Hudson; two brothers, Doug Barnett of Boiling Springs and Charlie Barnett of Rock Hill, SC and one sister, Sheila Mathis and husband, Ray of Belwood.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Friday at Polkville United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Lovelace and Rev.

Jimmy McKee officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott Cemetery. A guest register is available at www.
