Martha Jean Hyde Nalley, 82, of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System – Cleveland in Shelby. Born in Cherokee County, SC on November 5, 1935, she was a daughter of the Late Homer Hyde and Pauline Curtis Hyde. She was retired from the textile industry and enjoyed cooking for her family.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Hyde. She is survived by two sons, Dickie Nalley and wife Chris of Shelby… Read More » and Phillip Nalley of Shelby; two brothers, Daniel Hyde of Lattimore and Shannon Hyde of Mooresboro; five sisters, Lavonda Childers of Shelby, Sue Morrison of Lattimore, Lynn Martin of Fallston, Beverly Conley of Shelby, and Gwen Morrison of Boiling Springs, two grandchildren, Virginia Nalley and Stephanie Nalley and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Murry officiating. The burial will follow in the Mt.

Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Casar. Condolences may be made online at www. stameytysingerfuneralhome.com.
