Funeral services for Bobby Earl Watkins, age 76 of Lindale, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30th at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale with Rev. Tom Buck officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at New Salem Cemetery in Henderson.

Bobby met his Savior face-to-face on Sunday, May 26, 2019, after a brief illness. Bobby was born November 13, 1942, in Dallas, Texas, to Willard & Ondie Watkins. He graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1961.

He married Linda Norman, his bride of 55 years, on December 14, 1963. Together they raised 2 daughters in Mesquite, Texas. Bobby retired from Padgett Printing Co. in 2006 and moved to Lindale.

He was a member of First Baptist Church. His favorite hobby was supporting his 5 precious grandchildren at their various sporting events and activities. Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Willard Watkins; mother, Ondie Watkins and sister, Betty Puckett.

He is survived by wife, Linda; daughter, Regina Johnson & husband, Eddie of Flower Mound, Texas, and their 2 children, Ashley & Zach; daughter, Jennifer Anderson & husband, Jeff of Plano, Texas, and their 3 children, Emma, Molly & Ben; cousin, Rex Hargrave also of Lindale, and several nieces & nephews. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rex Hargrave, John Henery, Jimmy Williams, and Jimmy Hays. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
