Obituary for Bobby Ross Byrd Bobby Ross Byrd, age 82 of Greenbrier, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Vanco Health Care. Arrangements entrusted to Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 2619 Hwy 41 S, Greenbrier, TN 37073. The family will receive friends 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier and 10 am to 11 am on Thursday, October 18th at Greenbrier First Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be at 11 am on Thursday at Greenbrier First Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Washburn and Bro. David Stambaugh officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery. Bobby was born in Clarksville, TN on January 20, 1936 to the late Allen and Lantha Lee Byrd. He was also preceded in death by siblings Herbert Byrd, Frank Byrd, Anna Marie Lehman and Martha Rye.

He was a member of Greenbrier First Baptist Church and retired from Dupont. He was active in the Meals on Wheels Ministry at Greenbrier First Baptist where he served as a Deacon and enjoyed serving others. He also loved fishing and golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Stacey Byrd; children, Carolyn (Dane) Roath, Michael (Sharon) Byrd, David (Gina) Byrd; grandchildren, Amanda Goodwin, Jana Jennings, Gregory Roath, Corey Byrd, Travis Byrd, Calvin Byrd and 6 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels Ministry at Greenbrier First Baptist Church.
