Brenda “BeBe” Faye McKenzie Parker, 66, wife of Reverend Laverne Parker, died Thursday, January 24, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence. Mrs. Parker was born on September 11, 1952 in Florence County, daughter of the late Covington Raulston “C. R.” McKenzie, Jr. and Eva Ruth Feagin McKenzie.

She attended Central Holiness Church and was retired from Clarendon County School District 3. Surviving are her husband, Reverend Laverne Parker of Lake City; daughters, Dana Parker (Brian) Singletary of Scranton and Dara Parker (Jason) Cook of Lake City; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Floyd Parker of Lake City; grandchildren, Daulton Parker, Seth Parker, Olivia Parker, Turner Singletary, Lawson Singletary, Cub Cook, Cade Cook and Ellee Bren Cook; brothers, Rod (Angie) McKenzie of Hemingway and Dale (Angie) McKenzie of Lake City; nephews, Raulston and Rylan McKenzie; niece, Jana (Franklin) Wright; great nieces and nephew, Elana, Lilee and Waylon Wright; special aunts, Ethaline (Lamar) Driggers, Bobbie (Kenny) McKenzie and Elsie McKenzie; and special friend, Mary Beth Lee. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by a son, Laverne Brent Parker.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 26, 2019, Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Lake City. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton. Memorials may be made to Central Holiness Church, c/o Pearcy L. Floyd, 4960 Old Manning Road, New Zion, SC 29111.
