Brenda’s Obituary Brenda Sue Sims, 71, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Baptist Health Louisville. Born August 13, 1947 in Harrodsburg, KY, Brenda was the daughter of the late Joseph Timothy “J.T.” Sims and Phyllis Jean Robinson Sims. Along with her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, John Hugh Sims.

A retired employee of General Electric in Louisville, Brenda was a member of the Beachwood Baptist Church in St. Matthews. She enjoyed playing bingo, her bowling league, and spending time with her family. Brenda is survived by her son, Troy Dodson of Louisville; a grandson, Zachary Scott Dodson; a sister, Betty (Jim) Hornback of Sonora, KY; a sister-in-law Judith Sims of Harrodsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 17th from 3 – 6 PM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY. Service will be held Monday, Feb.

18th beginning at 1:00 PM Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Will Cooper will officiate the service.

Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, KY. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Lindauer, Brett Barnes, Troy Johnson, Nicholas Lee, Trace Barnes, and Jason Lindauer. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.
