Jane M. Thompson, 69, wife of 48 years to William C. “Buddy” Thompson, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at UK Medical Center. She was born in Owensboro, KY to the late James and Mary Dorothy Bowles Molohon. Jane was a faithful member at First Baptist Church; member of the Joy Sunday School Class and the choir; 1967 graduate of Loretta High School; obtained a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Kentucky State University; and earned her Masters and Rank I from Georgetown College; she taught for 26 years at Western and Emma B. Ward Elementary; former President of Delta Kappa Gamma; and also a member of Beta Sigma Phi.

Along with her husband she is survived by two children, Glen (Elizabeth) Thompson, Campton and Holly Thompson, Lexington; two brothers, Fred Molohon, IN, Martin Molohon, MA; sister, Rita Beckman, of Louisville; two grandchildren, Luke and Sawyer Thompson, both of Campton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jane was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Whitesides. Funeral services will be Friday, March 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating.

Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Casketbearers will be Luke Thompson, Sawyer Thompson, Frankie Brown, Calvin Molohon, Rick Molohon and John Spencer.

Honorary bearers will be the choir from First Baptist Church Memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church, 111 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
