Ethyl’s Obituary Ethyl Agnes (Sims) Letcher, 78 of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Crestview Center in Shelbyville. Ethyl was born November 13, 1940 in Anderson County to the late Irvin Wesley and Margaret Lee (Lockhart) Sims. Including her parents, Ethyl is preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Sims.

Ethyl was a retired Administrative Assistant with the Kentucky State Government Department of Education and a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church. Ethyl was a former secretary for the Historical & Genealogy Society for Kentucky, a member of the Lawrenceburg Art League, and enjoyed painting, crocheting, knitting and sewing. Ethyl is survived by siblings, Mildred “Millie” Blair of Lawrenceburg, Wesley N. Sims and his wife Sally of Florida, and Roberta Lee Crafton of Mt.

Washington; several nieces and nephews; and the love of her life, her three Boston Terriers, Ponto, Biffy & Lucky Leroy. Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 12 noon till time of service. Casket bearers will be Mark Blair, Scott Blair, Mike Crafton, Newt Sims, Jason Crafton, Tyler Crafton and Landon Crafton. Honorary bearers will be the Faithfull Workers Sunday School Class.
