Barbara’s Obituary Barbara Ann Hutton Hawkins, 78, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 at Baptist Health Lexington. Born February 16, 1940 in Anderson County, KY, Barbara was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Lydia Peyton Hutton.

Along with her husband and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a daughter Lee Ann Thacker Ellis and a grandson, James Brady Ellis. Barbara was a retired customer service representative for Investors Heritage Life Insurance Company in Frankfort. She was a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church, the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class, the Senior Adults, and a member of the former Swingin Saints.

Barbara served as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Anderson County Gideon’s, a former officer of the Beta Sigma Phi, and a former member of the Fox Creek Homemakers Club. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Vickie T. Dyer and her husband Brian of Burkesville, KY; two granddaughters, Lauren Dyer Hurt (Matthew) and Kristen Dyer Wray (Christopher); three step children, Sandy (James) Ritchey, Brent Hawkins, and Darren (Becky) Hawkins; three step grandchildren, Mary Ann Ritchey, Josh Ritchey (Jessica ), Dalton Hawkins; two step great grandchildren, Noah & Marshall Ritchey; a sister, Rita Phillips (Kenny) and Allen Hutton (Pam), all of Lawrenceburg. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb.

3rd beginning at 2:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Hamrick. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 – 8 Saturday and 11 – 2 Sunday at the funeral home.

Serving at pallbearers will be Matthew Hurt, Christopher Wray, Shawn Hutton, Chris Lindsey, Ben Phillips and Jason Phillips. Honorary bearers will be James Ritchey, Brent and Darren Hawkins and members of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. Memorials are suggested to the Sand Spring Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 166, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
