CLEARFIELD – Brent A. Andreason, 64, passed away peacefully Monday, February 25, 2019 at his home from complications due to liver cancer. He was born August 14, 1954 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Ben A. and Helen Allred Andreason. Brent grew up and lived in Layton the majority of his life and has resided in Clearfield for the last 15 years.

He graduated from Layton High School and proudly earned his Eagle Scout. Brent married Maralee Sealey in 1973 and had one son, Trent. They later divorced.

He married Julie Kittrell in 1978 and had one daughter, Rhocki, and one son, Ben. They later divorced. He married Brenda Smuin on October 2, 1987 where he gained a daughter, Toni, and had another daughter together, Tacy.

He loved fishing and spending time in the mountains with his family. He also enjoyed working on the family farm. He worked many years as a mason, and contributed to the construction of many local structures.

His years in construction and block work made it possible for him to develop a life-long work family. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Andreason; sons, Trent Andreason, J. Ben (Macie) Andreason; daughters, Rhocki (Scott) Bowler, Toni Smuin, Tacy (Josh) Jackson; 15 grandchildren with one on the way; one great grand-child with one on the way; parents, Ben and Helen Andreason; parents in-law Robert and Janice VomDorp; brothers, Art Andreason, Dean Andreason; sisters, Lucille (Lyle) Koenig, Benet Aagard, Marie (Kerry) Santoro; and a brother-in-law Greg Tanner. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, sister-in-law Jacque, and several of his close friends. Brent worked night and day to provide for and show his deep love for his family. Brent is extremely well loved and will be deeply and dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit with family from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.

A wake in Brent’s honor will be held Saturday evening from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at the Ogden VFW, 907 W. 12th Street. Please bring a dish to share. Bar is cash only.
