Obituary for Bruce Edward Nelker Bruce Edward Nelker, 68, of Acworth Ga, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2018. He was born on October 23, 1949 in Bottineau, North Dakota. He was married to his wife Sharon Nelker for 48 yrs.

He had 2 children, Crystal Lesley and Brett Nelker. 3 grandsons, Ryan Lesley, Taylor Lesley and Bryce Nelker. His mother, Clarice Clevinger, 94 lives in Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward Nelker. Bruce worked for Crestline Hotels and Resorts when he retired. He won manager of the year for Marriott Hotels and was given a BMW Roadster and a trip to anywhere in the world he wanted to go.

He chose a cruise to Russia for him and his wife. Bruce was best known for his Sense of humor and practical jokes. He loved to travel and was always up for an adventure.

Bruce touched the lives of everyone he met and will be forever missed. Services will be at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Historic Marietta Chapel at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 and the family will receive friends from 11:00 – 12:00 before the service.

He will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery with Navy Honors prior to the service. In lieu of of flowers donations can be made to the ALS Association in his honor. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Bruce Edward Nelker please visit our Sympathy Store.
