Obituary for Clifton Bernhart Moor Clifton Bernhart Moor, life-long resident of Marietta, passed away on October 8, 2018 at the age of 99. A 1936 graduate of Marietta High School, he served his country in the European Theater during World War II. After the war he operated a dairy farm and later raised cattle.

A member of Marietta First Baptist Church all his life, he served the church in many areas and was a life deacon. He was also Secretary-Treasurer of the Cobb County Farm Bureau for 37 years. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Fannie and Henry Moor; his wife of 57 years, Nell Clair Moor; brother, Henry Gilbert Moor; sister, Louise Hicks; grandson, Curt Waldrep; great granddaughter Elisha Lowry; daughter-in-law, Nancy Moor.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Martha Grayson; sons Gilbert Moor and Gregory Moor; daughters Clair Crissey, Charlotte Waldrep, Carol Haynes, and Julie Moor; six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Bonnie Floyd and Joan Franklin; stepson Marty Grayson; stepdaughters Andrea Corley and Rev. Allison Per-Lee; six step grandchildren and nine step great- grandchildren. Service will be in the First Baptist Church Chapel on Thursday, October 11th at 11:00 AM.

Visitation in the church’s chapel parlor will precede the service from 9:45 AM—10:45 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Clifton’s memory to the Building Fund of Marietta First Baptist Church, 148 Church St., Marietta, GA 30060.
