Obituary for Jeanette Cody Huggins Our Beloved 92 year old Mother Jeanette C. Huggins, died November 17, 2018 after having a stroke, surrounded by her loving family. Mother had been a resident of Winnwood Retirement Community since 2006. She was married to our Father, Henry J. Huggins for 65 years.

During the following years, she worked as a Post Master, for USPS, retiring in 1996, after 30 years of service. She was recognized on multiple occasions by the National Association of Post Masters of the United States (NAPUS) for her outstanding contributions to the postal service and community. Our Mother epitomized all that is forgiving, selfless, loving and honorable in this world.

She lived an exemplary life. Though she was born in Union, South Carolina, she spent the majority of her life in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Our Mother came from a large family, her Father john Cody Sr. and Mother, Jane Nixon Cody remained in Union, until their passing years earlier.

She is survived by her sons, Daryl and Mike and their families. The remaining members of her family continue to be an integral , ethereal part of her being. Mother rest with our Father in Spartanburg under God’s grace.
