Bruce Wayne Wynkoop March 29, 1947 – January 13, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Bruce Wayne Wynkoop, 71, of Charles Town, West Virginia, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center. Born Saturday, March 29, 1947 in Frederick, Maryland.

He was the son of the late Woodrow Wynkoop and the late Mary Ann (Lambert) Wynkoop. Bruce received a Master’s degree from Towson University. He retired from Montgomery County Schools after teaching Social Studies for 31 years.

Most recently he worked as Program Specialist with FEMA. He was an avid collector of anything medieval and had an extensive collection of knights, castles, and dragons. He enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and accompanying his wife to craft shows where they displayed and sold amazing dried flower arrangements.

He was a yearly volunteer at the Waterford Foundation Craft Fair. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Billie; sons Jeffrey and wife Elizabeth of Mt. Airy, Maryland; Michael and his wife Joan of Charles Town, WV; five grandchildren, Quinn, Kylie, Emma, Olivia, and Alexander; one brother, Brian and his wife, Kim of Rehoboth Beach, De; and his furry friends, Bella and Pixie.

Bruce was laid to rest on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Friends Cemetery in Lincoln, Virginia. Online condolences may be expressed at Hall Funeral Home, Purcellville, Va. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American heart Association.
